Accreditations
The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) is the sole national accreditation body recognised by government to assess, against internationally agreed standards, organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services.
Adams Environmental is accredited as Testing Laboratory No. 0647 by UKAS. Testing activities having a UKAS accreditation comply with, or exceed the relevant requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005. See the Schedule of Accreditation for testing.
Adams Environmental is also accredited as an Inspection Body No. 174 by UKAS. Accredited Inspection Bodies comply with, or exceed the relevant requirements of ISO/IEC17020:2004 (accreditation standard). See the Schedule of Accreditation for inspection.
The following services are accredited:
- Surveying for asbestos in premises, including management surveys and pre-demolition/refurbishment surveys;
- Asbestos fibres in air: Fibre counting, sampling of air;
- Asbestos in bulk materials: Identification of asbestos type, sampling of bulk material; analysis of bulk material;
- 4-stage clearance
